Our Clients

Our client base is diverse, and all too often we see customers being segmented based upon age. Our approach differs in that we identify your needs based upon your respective stage of life.

Accumulation occurs early in your career; when you initially enter the workforce and for some years thereafter.
Although you may be earning substantial money and have the capacity to begin saving, your net worth may still be small. It could even be negative if you have accumulated debt from student loans, a home mortgage, or a car loan.
During this phase, your priorities may be buying your first home or upgrading your existing home, starting a family, saving for your children’s education, building up an emergency fund and importantly, protecting yourself, your family and even your business from the unfortunate financial burden that an unexpected event may present.
While investments at this stage of your life cycle appear far on the horizon, an early adoption of a sound insurance and financial plan is essential. It will set you on the path to protecting and achieving your long-term financial freedom.
This is about creating your legacy
Consolidation takes place during the mid-to-late stages of your career.
By now you have paid off the majority of your debt and reduced your related cash outflows. Your income exceeds your expenditure.
During this phase, you begin to generate sufficient savings with which to invest seriously for retirement.
As your investment planning window period is still long, the focus should remain on growing your asset base with appropriate investment and planning strategies.
This is about cementing your legacy.
Spending commences at retirement as employment or business income slows or ceases.
Typically at this stage of life, your debt should be minimal, your children have grown up and no longer financially dependent, and your required expenditure to meet daily living expenses should not be extensive.
With an increase in life expectancy, you could easily retire, yet live longer than traditionally has been the case. That means retirement income needs to last for a lot longer.
Without a salary, income will be derived primarily from your investments and a sound retirement and investment strategy becomes paramount to deal with the necessity for income generation and importantly the need to manage longevity risk.
Gifting is the final stage in your life.
At this life stage, you possess more assets than you require until the end of your life.
You begin to gift your wealth to others. In most cases, this includes family members, yet today more and more people are becoming involved in philanthropic activities. Some clients set up trusts and foundations with their wealth to contribute directly to and manage their charitable objectives.
This is about leaving your legacy.
